Prior to our decision to sell, we met with Debra. She is certified
to help “seniors”, which may apply to my husband and which, I
guess, I’ll reluctantly adopt as a temporary label. We would like
to retire one day after all. She helped us think through our future
needs and helped us look at our retirement housing budget and
our wants for our future lifestyle.
Once we were clear about all that, we knew exactly what we
were looking for and found a home. In selling the home we were
in, Debra also helped us with that. She was very clear about how the house should be
presented and what we needed to do to get it ready. It was a lot
of work and some added expense, but it really paid off! We received 2
offers well over our asking price in the first day on the market.
When the one we accepted fell through because of a buyer’s
health issue, she coached us through. Another offer came fairly
quick, and Debra helped us to negotiate another very favorable
deal. Debra was then at our side through inspections and
closing.The young buyers acquired a beautiful, ready to move in
home to raise their family, and we continue to move toward our
“golden” (in more ways than just my hair) years.
Clients are in excellent hands with Debra and should listen to
her experienced and razor sharp advice.
Debra was infinitely patient with us. We actually started working
with her 2 years before we bought. When we realized 2 years
ago that we weren’t in the position to buy we thought we were,
she helped us consider our options on how to prepare, and we
stuck to it, and 2 years later when we were finally ‘there’ she
happily jumped right back on board. We were so worried that
she might have treated us differently since we failed to commit 2
years previously, but she did not, incredibly understanding and
professional, and honestly the best team mate we could have
had in the process.

We chose Debra for the concierge services she offers as part of
her practice. We live in Canada now and our home needed a lot
of TLC due to previous tenants. Debra organized and oversaw
all the work required. On top of that, she did all the paperwork
remotely and used the latest technology to make the long
distance deal go smoothly. We never had to come back to North
Carolina. We would definitely recommend Debra – especially if
you want someone who will work with your through the entire
home selling process from home preparation to closing.
Debra was very detail oriented, and made sure I had extra
inspections including HVAC and moisture levels in crawl space. She anticipated concerns I never even thought of and made sure we investigated those possibilities. She answered all of my questions and quickly responded to
emails and phone calls. Debra also possessed the Senior Real Estate Specialist credential
which I felt would be helpful given my age and circumstances. I’m extremely satisfied with the services Debra provided. She definitely exceeded my expectations for a realtor’s services. I would recommend Debra highly.
Debra Penne went above and beyond in understanding our
preferences, finding properties that could fit our needs, spending
time looking with us, and when we picked a house making sure
to ask the right questions, get answers, and negotiate good
terms. She was always friendly, professional, and accessible. I
would highly recommend her.

As far as my experience with her, Debra was very easy to work with, we sat down a couple of times to talk about paperwork requirement, the details of the sale process and then pricing and sales planning. During the whole time she kept me updated of possible leads, then prospective buyers and finally assisted through the final negotiations. Overall, it was a pleasure working with Debra. I was quite busy with work and work-related trips and she kept the buyer’s agent aware of the situation and maintained communications with me through out the process.
